RECENT PROJECTS
PROUD PROSPECTS
Proud Prospects is a unique career development programme designed to support and prepare young people across London who struggle with a lack of employment confidence and opportunities. It offers a range of mentoring and skills workshops in partnership with global law firm Jones Day and other corporate supporters. The programme has been running for two years and includes schools from all over London. All young people take part in historic site visits, creative workshops, and a full day’s corporate office experience.
It is tailored to each group’s needs, and is completely free of charge.

"It's a once in a lifetime experience. If anyone gets the opportunity to do this then I think they should take it, especially for kids part of this generation. This would help some kids understand that you can achieve something in life, no matter where you are from, if you work hard for it and strive for it. Because at the end of the day, the hard work pays off."

"I do think I'm a more confident speaker. I feel like today was very interesting, like it was a different school trip. We never do stuff like this. I feel like, that if other schools were to do this it would be beneficial for the community. It would help people with communication skills and it would help people choose a path in life, what they want to be. We learnt very different stuff today."

"The dragon's den was nerve-wracking, my heart was pumping.They all seemed really intimidating and intelligent. There was a panel of very intimidating women that I could tell they were all very capable, so I wanted to impress them, so it made me even more nervous. If it was like people I knew I don't think I would have been so nervous so I appreciated the rush it gave me to speak in front of them."

"I actually enjoyed the interview because, like, you were speaking to someone who was at your level, but now they've progressed. It's like an academy footballer speaking to a professional. They understand where you're coming from and where you want to be. Today has been a good day because I was able to see how it is in the real world, professional environments and how it is to be a lawyer."
